Opening Day Surprise

January 1, 2018

I had quite the surprise while fishing for Whitefish on the opener. I was using a vibrado with a small plastic about a foot above the vibrado and this lady came up and smashed the plastic like it was a laketrout. I didn't have a scale so I don't know a weight but I would put it in the 8-9lb range (based on Quinte Eyes I have weighed). She was quickly returned after the picture and will hopefully be caught again someday. Great way to start the season on the big water.

Sorry for the blank stare. :-)

It got really nasty out there on the way back to shore, If it wasn't for GPS I would still be wondering around out there.

We are heading to the Bay of Quinte this weekend so if anyone is in the Huffs/Hay bay area come and say hi!
